Second year in growing for Christmas tourism in mountain, with positive trend and an increase of 8% for presences in hotels.
This data was revealed from the last survey of inner Research Department of World Capital, which put under investigation tourism in mountain.
The previsions for winter season are really promising, with an increase both in overnights, which overcomes 6% compare to previous year, both for prices of nearly 10%, countertrend with past analysis.
To contribute to restart of sector, not only the positive economic situation of Italy and its competitiveness with other foreign locations, but especially winter landscapes and a really qualitative offer with hotels usually managing by luxury brands.
Among the most attractive locations, Cortina d’Ampezzo reconfirms itself as the most glamorous, following by Madonna di Campiglio and Courmayeur.

For next season, on the other hand, there will be some new openings of 5 stars hotels in Courmayeur, Pinzolo and Cortina d’Ampezzo.”
The most prestigious hotel in Alps is Four Seasons of Megeve in France; here the most luxurious suite of over 140 sqm for the night of New Year’s Eve has a price of 15.000 €. Always in France, in Apogee of Courchevel for Prestige Suite the price is 9.000 € for night. In Tannenhof of St. Anton in Austria, whereas, price is 7.500 € for night .
