0

With a yearly rental fee of 6.700 €/m2Via Montenapoleone, heart of Milan’s fashion district, is the 8th most expensive and prestigious street in the world. This is what appears from a high-street retail market analysis of the second semester of 2013, carried out by the Research Department at World Capital Real Estate Group, a firm specialized in property consulting.

“The luxurious Via Montenapoleone – Research Department Manager Neda Aghabegloo states -, ranks among the top 10 high-streets due to the rental prices of its retail spaces. What makes this road one of the most interesting and appealing on the global stage, are its convenient location, the presence of top fashion designer boutiques and the ever-growing number of Russian, Chinese and American tourists shopping there.

Currently at number 11, but climbing its way to the top 10 – Neda Aghabegloo continues – we find the Roman Via Condotti (5.380 €/m2). Direct competitors of the Italian high-streets are Moscow and Tokyo, with respectively 6.070 and 5.500 €/m2.

The most expensive are once again, just like in the first half of 2013, Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay (22.320 €/m2) and New York City’s Fifth Avenue (22.050 €/m2), followed by Prague (20.100 €/m2), West London’s Oxford Street (13.400 €/m2) and the Parisian Avenue des Champs Elysées (10.150 €/m2).”
